Completed a Bachelor of Neuroscience from Trinity College Dublin, followed by a Masters in Biotechnology in University College Dublin. I have experience working as a bioengineering research scientist where I was involved in developing 3D organoids from induced pluripotent stem cells. Preceding my stint in academia, I trained as a product development scientist for diagnostic medical devices at Trinity Biotech, where I was involved in the testing & laboratory work required for pre-market approval by the WHO for medical devices.I founded a nutrition business, Vita Botanica Ltd, where I developed & implemented a technology process to our products to significantly elevate absorption into the body, winning both National and International awards.The potential of the formulation technology surpassed the brand, evolving into a B2B technology platform. I brought it forward under a new entity, Biovit Technologies, where I now serve as CEO.Today, Biovit is building a multi-technology platform that systematically solves formulation barriers in functional foods and beverages—starting with bioavailability, expanding to stability and controlled release. Our first validated technology delivers 100× improvement in curcumin absorption, now scaling to 10+ nutrients with clinical trials underway.
