Nicholas Nymyer

I finished school at Haileybury College in 2008 and then began my journey with a plumbing apprenticeship at Chisholm and Holmesglen TAFE, which I completed then finished my plumbing career in 2014. This hands-on experience not only taught me technical skills but also instilled a strong work ethic and a keen problem-solving mindset. After my apprenticeship, I explored a variety of trade jobs, further honing my adaptability and resourcefulness. In 2016, I made a significant shift and commenced my nursing career studying through Kangan Institute, which I completed in 2018. Working in healthcare allowed me to develop a deep sense of empathy, attention to detail, and an ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. (2018-2024) In June 2024, I made the decision to pivot once again—this time toward the big world of cybersecurity and penetration testing. My passion for technology, security, and problem-solving led me to enroll in the HTB (Hack The Box) cybersecurity program, where I've been sharpening my skills and expanding my knowledge in ethical hacking and security testing. I'm now actively seeking an entry-level position in cybersecurity or penetration testing to kick start this new chapter in my career. With a diverse background and a strong desire to continue learning, I’m eager to contribute my unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and passion for cybersecurity to help organizations stay secure in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
