Added new web concept for uploading help videos (ASP.NET). I worked in a group in Microsoft that specializes in new concepts and innovation. We built prototypes using Microsoft technologies for products that might be in the far future.

I started off on the Vistaprint website using Microsoft-based technologies (C#, ASP.NET, WPF, MS SQL). Later, I joined the manufacturing team where we optimized the way that items traveled through the production facilities. I also wrote and managed the interfaces that the plant workers used to interact with the plant machines. I was the project architect on a few major product releases. This involved leading the tech team in combination with the product manager. During my time at Vistaprint I taught several classes on the architectures of different systems within the manufacturing branch of Vistaprint as well as the general flow of products through the manufacturing facilities.

I worked on the grid compute team managing the intake of videos through the Brightcove system. This involved transcoding the number of videos that the customer wanted, DRM protecting videos, and delivering videos to the appropriate CDNs. Most of my experience here was using a Java stack where I maintained old code while building the new Brightcove video intake system. I also had experience in Python, Javascript and a small amount of Ruby. In the persistence tier I had experience with Mongo as well as Oracle.

Check us out (https://www.pave.com). I lead the engineering team at Pave which includes architecting the systems, monitoring them, and being an expert in the full tech stack. I also play a large role in the direction of the product and the analysis of our current direction as a company. We use external services very heavily for the analysis of users on our site in order to drive up conversion rates, acquire more users, and get more people funded through the Pave platform.
