Mechanical design engineer at GM's Powertrain Advanced Technology Center (ATC). Developed electric motors and power electronics for hybrid, fuel cell, and battery electric vehicles.

Worked at the magnetometer research and fabrication facility with Earth and Space Sciences Dept at UCLA. Designed and manufactured prototype sensor design. Designed on Solidworks, then built by programming and running CNC mill and CNC waterjet. Responsibilities also included splicing and building shielded data cables, soldering circuit cards, building test fixtures, and machining sensor structures and housing.

Interned in Coker business unit. Created reliability tracking system focused on coke handling equipment. Program tracked failures to estimate lost throughput and cost of repairs to better target PM and replacement of machinery. Gathered and created demo drawings, organized contractors, and initiated gate process for multiple turnaround repair items and capital projects.

Interned with the Splash/Sealing/Closure tech group. Investigated JD Power issues related to interior fogging. Ran multiple environmental tests, designed and built test fixtures, and created new air plenum designs to reduce water ingestion.

Interned with Tire Engineering group with Tire/Wheel Systems. Created tire information database with graphical user interface using visual basic to create customizable graphs. Initiated small SUV run-flat tire development process.
