International mid-market CPG company focused on manufacturing and distributing children’s toys B2B and B2C - Lead the financial aspects of the company to grow revenues from $30M to $100M+ - Establish and direct the HR and IT functions - Establish financial forecasts, monthly financials, and metrics to track company progress - Design cash flow management tools to assist with high growth track of company - Build relationships with bankers in the area to allow the company to continue rapid growth through well established accounting procedures to pass all due diligence on larger loan requests - Design and establish the company internal controls to allow for progression to external annual review and finally to GAAP external annual audits - Implementation of SAP B1 and WiSys WMS for accounting and inventory management - Transition 3PL warehouse to internal company owned for further cost reductions and efficiency gains - Collaborate on design of new 200K+ sq. ft. corporate warehouse facility for further efficiency and cost savings including the funding of an SBA backed loan

Prepare and review large corporate consolidated tax returns for clients. Enhance tax preparation efficiency in assisting with development of a standardized tax package as well as Engagement training for all personnel. Involved with intern selection and experience by being a member of the Intern Committee. Review and prepare large corporate tax provisions for various audit and tax clients. Manage new and existing client tax return preparation for budgeting, billing, and staffing purposes. Involved with various special projects including 382 studies and purchase price accounting for large corporate clients to assist with client specific needs.

Short term secondment working with the Mazars UK team on international tax complexities arising from multi-national corporations. This includes inbound and outbound issues of companies that already have a US tax presence, are exploring new opportunities to expand into the US, and US companies looking to expand into European countries.

Prepare federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals in various industries including property management, restaurants, and coal mining Assist in software improvements and implementation Prepared compilations for tax clients for submission to financial institutions Detailed research on various tax issues including international taxes and new tax laws and planning strategies

Manage retail operations of brick and mortar locations, oversee inventory of main office ($45M+), assist with month, quarter, and year end procedures, and assist with audits from external auditors for financial statements and bank loans

Performed month, quarter, and year-end close procedures including reconciliations and financial statement preparation for five companies (SPEs). Worked on year-end audit process with independent auditors to finalize financial statement for Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance.
