ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital 2015 is a 3-week long project with volunteers who are top-notch ophthalmologists coming to Hanoi and Hue to share their experiences with Vietnamese doctors and nurses who are lack of training and infrastructure to deal with half of million people who are in danger of being blind. My volunteer with ORBIS includes: - Interpreting for doctors of ORBIS, for local patient and for local medical interns. - Instructing local patients and their relatives about their treatments and medications in clinic room and operating theatre. - Talking with patients to relieve them from worry before and after operation. Most patients are kids and elders so they are afraid of injections and pain.
