Ngoc Minh Nguyen

I am a B.Comm (Hons.) student at the University of Manitoba pursuing a double major in Accounting and Finance, driven to build a career as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). With a strong academic record, Dean’s Honour List standing, and recognition through various awards and scholarships, I am committed to excellence in both my studies and future profession. My analytical and problem-solving skills were further strengthened through placing 2nd in the Internal Accounting Case Competition (IACC), where I gained experience interpreting financial information, forming recommendations, and presenting under time pressure. I continue to deepen my understanding of the CPA pathway through involvement with the Asper School of Business Accounting Association and other professional development opportunities on campus. I value precision, clear communication, and collaboration. Whether through student involvement or part-time work, I consistently bring reliability, initiative, and a willingness to learn, qualities I believe are essential in accounting, assurance, and financial management roles. I am currently seeking internship and co-op opportunities where I can contribute meaningfully, grow my technical skills, and continue progressing toward my CPA designation.
