Responsibility *Ensuring primary consideration is given to HSE issues in all activities undertaken within areas of responsibility *Write and review system/equipment specifications, perform systems /equipment and vendor evaluations *Design and engineering of shipboard electrical power generation, distribution systems, navigation system, automation/control system *Resolve design/technical issue with designer, class, owner and vendor *Provide technical support for commissioning of electrical/electronic systems *Supervise/interact with vendors and contractors from various trades *Interact with project management in support of project requirements *Hands-on commissioning whenever required *type of vessel work on: Pipe laying vessel, accommodation work barge, container vessel, bulk cargo vessel, supply vessel, rescue/oil recovery vessel

* Responsible for Plant Automation Control System (PACS), Field Instrument and Control Valve package * Conceptual and detailed engineering for instrumentation and control philosophy, PACS, field instrument and control valve package * Coordinate with other disciplines and vendor representatives * Prepare detailed design and material evaluation for client approval prior to purchasing and installation * Attend technical meeting with client and vendor * Review vendor design and document * Prepare Schedule, Sequence of work, Volume of Work estimates * Monitor work efficiency against schedules/resources and actual progress * Attend vendor FAT & SAT * PACS, field instrument and control valve package QA/QC check * PACS, field instrument and control valve testing and commissioning

* Prepare Workpack for all Electrical & Instrument package * Prepare E & I Schedule, Sequence of work and Volume of Work and Man Hour estimates * Review material specifications, AFC Design Drawing, materials and actual installation * Monitor work efficiency against schedules/resources and actual progress * Coordinate to Design Engineering with regards to installation discrepancies * Coordinate with other disciplines and vendor representatives * Prepare PTW/JSA for E & I work * Certified Work Leader by BPPA * Hands-on installation, testing and commissioning for all E & I equipments * Prepare final documentation * Stand in for Project Manager during his absence
