Senior Buddy - Women in Engineering Network
Mentor to first-year female engineering students, supporting their transition into university life. I share my experiences and insights to help them navigate academic challenges, build confidence, and make the most of their university journey. Through regular coffee chats and social activities, I foster a supportive environment where they can ask questions and connect with peers. As part of this program, I also receive mentorship from an industry professional, allowing me to gain valuable perspectives that I pass on to my mentees—helping them prepare for both university and their future careers.

Led marketing strategy and subcommittee to significantly grow EWB USYD’s reach and membership in 2025. • Increased USU membership from 622 to 910 • Grew Instagram following from 950 to 1,828 (more than 2× growth) • Awarded USU Best Merchandise Award • Placed 4th overall in the inaugural USU Club Com Points Program • Launched a new colour scheme and graphics style and introduced EWB USYD’s first Instagram reels • Delivered Welcome Fest stalls in Semester 1 and Semester 2 EWB USYD is one of the largest engineering societies on campus, with 550+ members, focused on humanitarian engineering and social impact.

Biomedical Engineering Intern

● Conducted quality control of patient X-ray, CT, and MRI scans to assess suitability for surgical planning ● Segmented CT and MRI data using Materialise Mimics to generate accurate 3D models of anatomical structures, including femurs, tibias, and fibulas ● Applied anatomical landmarks and followed SOPs to ensure clinical precision in segmentation for osteotomy and ACL reconstruction planning ● Assisted in the quality assurance and inspection of 3D printed surgical guides and anatomical models prior to dispatch ● Performed regular maintenance procedures on Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printers using Nylon-12 and performed post-processing via sandblasting, ultrasonic cleaning, and steam cleaning ● Designed an anatomical keychain of the femur for marketing using 3-matic, based on segmented femurs with integrated company branding ● Explored segmentation techniques using open-source software like 3D Slicer to evaluate their viability for clinical application ● Observed a live surgery involving a personalised osteotomy guide, gaining insight into how engineering decisions impact real-time surgical outcomes ● Observing documentation updates and procedural improvements ● Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team
