Developing RoboScope, this project focuses on enabling the remote and precise manipulation of a manual endoscope during high-risk procedures such as PIPAC, where chemotherapy is delivered into the abdomen in aerosol form. Due to the toxicity of repeated exposure, the system aims to allow surgeons to operate from a safe distance while maintaining accurate navigation and control. RoboScope combines a robotic arm for positioning with a cable-driven mechanism actuated by servo motors to control endoscope tip bending, integrating mechanical, electronic, and software components into a unified system.
