• Assessment of the current spending on a product/part. • Assessment of supply markets. • Customer BOM & alternate part workouts. • New vendor Identification & Selection. • Total cost analyses. • Sourcing strategy workouts (cost & risk minimization). • Cost reduction/Negotiation for Electronic Components (In line with Forecasting). • Conducting a pre-qualification meeting with the vendors to review quality/delivery requirements. • Assessment of Suppliers through Supplier Assessment Survey/Documental/Self Audit of the Vendor’s quality system procedures. • Assuring all the Special Process procedures involved in producing the part/product are reviewed and approved. • Providing technical guidance to suppliers towards assuring product/process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. • Conducting Sample and Production part inspection on materials/equipment. • Reviewing Incoterms & NDA Agreements. • Approving & including the vendors into AVL after all the qualification process. • Identifying & communicating supplier quality/delivery problems during all the stages of the product build. • Resolving NCMR generated on material delivered to production or site. • Working with the vendor on the root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. • Monitor Corrective action Implementation at the Supplier’s end for the NC’s identified during the Audits/Product builds. • Promoting continuous improvement and efficiency with existing and new suppliers. • Review & Updating Vendor requirements manual. • Verification of the Material Compliance (MCD,MSDS, RoHS & REACH). • Identification of all requirement in requisition for purchase by design and planning departments • Work outs on pricing and finalizing the Supplier for the product • Issuance of Purchase Orders to the suppliers • Keep tracking and expediting of shipments delivery. • Follow up for the material inward & accounting Invoices. • Follow up for the Supplier payment in line to due date. • Inventory Control.
