Created engaging and educational presentations on public health topics. Delegated and oversaw weekly presentations for chapter meetings. Trained new committee members.

Helped answer student questions. Assisted students in making stock solutions and in using spectrophotometer and scale. Assisted lab supervisor(s) with measuring pH of solutions, operating centrifuge and preparing electrophoresis gels. Performed basic lab duties such as organizing and restocking materials, refilling distilled water bottles, and washing glassware.

Collaborated with other staffers to grade middle and high school delegates’ position papers and resolution papers. Co-authored background guides for delegates on conference topics. Delivered delegate notes and helped guide the committee as a Vice-Chair during the conference.

Helped create program flyers and announcement, and register organization. Helped create instructional presentations and plan/lead weekly meetings with middle school students virtually and in-person. Helped train students in Cisco networking and basic Linux using the NDG Linux Unhatched course to prepare them for CyberPatriot and SoCal Cyber Cup competitions. Managed the online Google Classroom and assisted with program logistics.

Helped register unit teams for national CyberPatriot competition, host team meetings, conduct tryouts, organize teams, and train newer cadets. Created instructional materials, such as presentations, practice quizzes, and tutorial videos. Assisted advising AFJROTC instructor on equipment needs and helped recruit new members. Publicized the program in the local newspaper and partnered with the newspaper to include cyber tips online written monthly by CyberPatriot cadets, as a community service opportunity. Distributed materials to team members. Helped host, organize, and create content for a small, virtual cybersecurity event.

Implemented NIST security controls on a virtual machine. Managed team Discord server, helped schedule team meetings, represented the team when speaking with project heads, and delegated responsibilities to team members. Assisted struggling team members. *Note: The internship appeared to have more of an educational basis as opposed to an internship experience.
