Working as part of a small, innovative team to support the design, testing, and development of technical systems. The role involves a mix of hands-on prototyping, assembly, and problem-solving, alongside contributing to continuous improvements and collaborative projects. It’s a position that combines practical engineering skills with attention to detail, helping to bring ideas into reality in a fast-paced and forward-thinking environment.

Following a five-week placement, I was invited to continue my time with Frontier Medical Group to undertake my MSc Major Project. This live project allowed me to work in a professional R&D setting, applying academic research methods to real-world product design challenges. My role focused on balancing sustainability, usability, and manufacturability, while aligning with industry standards and healthcare requirements. This collaboration provided valuable experience in bridging academic design research with commercial practice, contributing to Frontier’s ongoing innovation activities.

During my 5-week placement at Frontier Medical Group, I gained hands-on experience in the design and development of medical products within a highly regulated environment. I contributed to key stages of the product lifecycle; including concept development, user research, prototyping, testing, and design for manufacture. Working within a multidisciplinary team, I developed skills in hybrid collaboration, self-directed problem solving, and professional communication. I also became familiar with ISO standards, risk assessments, and documentation processes essential in medical product design. This placement deepened my understanding of design within a real-world context and reinforced my ability to work effectively in a structured, innovation-driven environment.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve started a new role as a Trainee Bathroom Designer! 🛁✨ In this position, I’ll be building on my design and client collaboration skills while gaining hands-on experience with CAD modeling, 3D rendering, and project coordination. It’s a fantastic opportunity to refine my technical expertise and continue growing in a creative, dynamic environment. A big thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way! I engaged in both paid and unpaid voluntary work for Citizen Church UK. One of my contributions was designing and creating a mobile application for them, along with a corresponding website. Additionally, I worked on various other projects for them, including magazine design, leaflet design, booklet design, and general graphic design.

In my role as a Furniture Assembly & Packaging Assistant, I assembled wooden furniture using tools like nail guns, screwdrivers, drills, and compound miter saws. After assembly, I packaged the products securely onto pallets for shipment, ensuring they were wrapped and ready for delivery.
