About

I'm a healthcare researcher passionate about improving patient outcomes through evidence-based research and collaborative partnerships. My experience spans both the hands-on research side and the strategic funding and administration aspects of healthcare initiatives. At PCORI, I've managed scientific portfolios and overseen funding processes while working closely with investigating teams nationwide to help them achieve critical milestones. I've conducted comprehensive literature reviews and data analyses across clinical effectiveness research portfolios to identify patterns and evidence gaps that inform future research priorities. My research expertise includes qualitative data collection and analysis, with experience tackling complex healthcare challenges like the opioid crisis, rural cancer care access, care coordination, patient engagement, and telehealth adoption. I've contributed to projects examining everything from pancreatic cancer care disparities to the impact of decision aids on cost discussions in breast cancer treatment. What drives me is the opportunity to bridge research and practice. I have an understanding both the granular details of data collection and the broader strategic vision needed to fund meaningful healthcare improvements. I thrive in collaborative environments where diverse teams of researchers and clinicians come together to enhance healthcare quality and accessibility. My experience bridges the critical gap between peerreviewed evidence and real-world application. I've translated epidemiological data into compelling study reports, converted qualitative interview themes into stakeholder presentations, and crafted manuscripts that communicate nuanced findings to clinical audiences. With experience translating patient perspectives on care transitions, analyzing provider experiences with telehealth adoption, or presenting oncology outcomes to funding committees, I developed strong skills in translating intricate research findings into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making. My goal is to inform healthcare decisions, educate clinical audiences, and ultimately improves patient outcomes through strategic, scientifically sound communication. Having seen healthcare research from multiple angles, from IRB management and survey development to manuscript writing and stakeholder engagement, I bring a comprehensive perspective to every project I touch.
