* As hotel supervisor, I worked in a hotel accommodating around 140 guests during a winter season in a French Ski resort. During this period I was responsible for the staff training, setup, opening and running of our hotel following several months of closure, and ensuring my team completed these tasks in an efficient way. This included dealing with the transport/delivery/removal from storage of all hotel furniture * planning hotel space to best accommodate our guests needs whilst ensuring the working environment was at its best * training all hotel staff to the companies high standards * managing the daily requirements of both guests and staff * dealing with transfers of guests to/from the hotel * holding welcome speeches with the guests ever transfer day * ensuring the smooth turnaround of all guest rooms and public areas every transfer day. Our hotel did not have a ‘rep’ as most of these resorts do and so I took the opportunity to set up and run two weekly fun nights for our guests and two other hotel’s guests. One was a quiz night in the hotel and the other was a very popular bar crawl.
