Provide therapy for individuals, families, and couples. Some areas of practice include mood issues, anger management, depression, anxiety, group therapy, assertiveness, and end of life issues. Develop healthy therapeutic bonds that foster independence, self-confidence, development of healthy coping skills, and increased balance in life.

Provided individual and family therapy for select residents at Nursing and Rehabilitation facility; Addressed a variety of therapeutic needs including behavioral problems, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, family issues, coping with Dementia, history of substance abuse and end of life issues

Facilitated group therapy daily for both adult and geriatric population (including cognitive, process, psycho educational, and expressive processing groups); Provided crisis intervention; Addressed a variety of therapeutic needs including psychotic disorders, chronic mental illness, difficulty functioning in society, substance abuse, poor anger/impulse control, history of trauma, and emotional disturbances

Monitored unit activities (including supervising patients, maintaining daily schedule, assisting patients with activities of daily living, and charting on patient behavior/affect each shift); Facilitated weekly female gender group; Managed unit crises that may arise, including potential danger to client’s self or others; Served as patient coordinator for various patients (i.e. serving as primary unit contact for patients); Assisted patients in maintaining individualized treatment plans
