Supervise legal staff to ensure that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards and receive all necessary training and development. Provide accurate legal advice to managers and staff to ensure that decisions taken are legally correct and that the company’s interests are protected. Advise on general business law issues and manage the legal issues of all areas of the company. Identify and address potential legal issues and risks associated with current activities, operations, and strategic initiatives, as well as managing litigation. Anticipate and manage the (legal) risks connected with or resulting from the business strategy and operations. Secure compliance of business operations with relevant laws and regulations. Assist in reviewing the legal material and any other relevant documents and identifying the most important issues that need to be sorted out on a priority basis. Support and participate in negotiations and clarifications on behalf of departments to ensure the effective management of relationships between the business and third parties and accordingly draft contract conditions. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and analyze legally with required execution. Responsible for drafting, editing, and reviewing the company contracts within the legal scope and preparing the memorandum, judicial regulations, and appeal regulations. Drive contract lifecycle from drafting through completion of the negotiation process, and/or contract execution manage the contract change control process and any related correspondence that requires legal input. Ensure the accurate, reliable and timely issuance of contracts in accordance with company policies and all local statutory requirement. Represent the company at court hearings and tribunals to ensure that the company’s interests are effectively safeguarded and so that it carries out its legal obligations effectively.

Assist clients in gathering facts for resolving litigation, subpoenas, and complaints, analysing individual disputes, and conducting legal research in order to carry out a plan of action. Communicate with clients to understand their legal concerns and needs to help provide them with essential pieces of advice. Provide clients and corporates with supporting information and documentation to assist them in implementing advice given. Ensure that all advice is recorded accurately against the appropriate cases and all other client and call information correctly captured onto the database. Inform clients and ensure that they understand the mechanics of a legal document. Inform clients about their legal options and make them aware of any potential outcomes or threats.

Monitor legal and regulatory developments and analyze legally with required execution. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and business. Work closely with team to prepare comprehensive briefs and motions on each case that goes to trial; prepare persuasive motions Interface with clients about discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and other case-related work. Mediate in disputes between different people or between individuals and government agencies. Conduct depositions and discovery; conduct industry research on specific legal issues as well as applicable legislation. Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, contracts, and wills.

Conduct legal research to provide legal advice to all functions in relation to all corporate and labor law queries that are raised. Assist in the preparation of all legal documents required by managers and staff to ensure that these are accurate and legally sound. Draft, review and amend legal documents drafted by, or sent to, the organization. Prepare the appropriate legal documents for trial or court proceedings. Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors. Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters. Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
