As a Student Assistant with the Office of Outreach, Student Success, and Engagement (OSSE) at George Mason’s College of Engineering and Computing, I support student-focused initiatives aimed at fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for engineering and computing students. I oversee daily operations in the CEC student lounge, ensuring it remains a clean, inviting, and resourceful space for study and community-building. Onboarding & Application Review Ambassador
As a ColorStack Ambassador, I supported the onboarding and application review process for the 2023–2024 academic year. I reviewed member applications to ensure completeness and mission alignment, helping welcome a diverse new cohort into the ColorStack community. To support retention and engagement, I hosted two virtual onboarding sessions each week, introducing new members to ColorStack’s programs, community norms, and opportunities for involvement. I also answered questions in Slack, directed students to relevant resources, and worked closely with staff to ensure a smooth transition into the community.

PWCS Mathematics Tutor
As a dedicated fifth-grade math tutor, I have the privilege of spending three hours each week working one-on-one with two exceptional fifth-grade students. It is an incredibly rewarding experience to guide these students through their math standards of learning while teaching them various exciting math topics. Seeing their progress and growth has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career.

Selected from over 3,000 applicants, I was accepted into the competitive 18-month Break Through Tech AI Program—an industry-driven initiative developed by leading academic and tech partners to increase diversity in artificial intelligence. Through this program, I’ve developed foundational skills in Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) using industry-relevant tools and technologies. In addition to technical training, I’ve received ongoing mentorship, career coaching, and support from industry professionals, earning a certificate in AI Foundations from Cornell University.

Girls in STEM Initiative Alumnae
As a participant in Columbia University’s Girls in STEM Initiative, I completed an intensive, one-week hands-on program focused on building technical and leadership skills in a collaborative environment. During the program, I learned the fundamentals of Python and worked with a team to develop a final project, which we presented in a live demonstration to Columbia University staff and community members. Through this experience, I strengthened my communication and public speaking skills while gaining early exposure to programming and team-based problem-solving in STEM.

Simons - NYU Science Exploration Program
As a student in the Simons-NYU Science Exploration Program, I had the honor of spending three weeks at NYU. I was given a taste of college-level research, with exposure to disciplines central to the life and physical sciences, while also providing opportunities to learn from distinguished NYU faculty and guest speakers. I participated in daily lectures and labs, including but not limited to biochemistry, biology, chemistry, neural science, and physics.
