Investigate atomic and electronic structures of carbon-based systems, specifically, twisted-bilayer graphene, multi-layer graphene and 3D graphene. The goal is to build a realistic atomic models that can be used to study, simulate, and predict the experimental result. The electronic properties are studied based on the proposed atomic models The theoretical data is then analyzed and converted to meaningful and publishable graphics/figures. Build models to explain the data and predict the experimental result.

Create atomic models and investigate the electronic properties of two-dimensional carbon-based systems such as multi-layer graphene, twisted bilayer graphene,... During my Ph.D., I published 2 peer-reviewed papers and presented 4 conference talks. The research paper published in 2017 was one of the early key papers on its field and was highly cited.

Assist the lecturers during and after the lectures The job included making PowerPoint slides, explaining the concepts and answering students’ questions after the lecture finished, scoring the papers...
