Worked with one undergraduate and one faculty advisor during a research experience for undergraduates funded by the National Science Foundation. Developed a modular algorithm generating realistic dynamic weighted artificial networks. Results found using Monte Carlo simulation of the algorithm in Maple 14. Wrote a full, collaborative research report. Made weekly presentations to fellow research program participants and research advisors. Presented research at the 2012 Joint Mathematics Conference in Boston.

Facilitated a small group workshop to assist engineering students in mastering mathematics material. Reviewed lecture material with students before completing practice problems. Held weekly office hours and exam review sessions.

Worked with four undergraduates on research projects related to Random Walks during the NSA sponsored Summer Undergraduate Institute in Experimental Mathematics (SURIEM) hosted at Michigan State University. Individual project work focused on Random Walks on a modified two dimensional lattice. Results were found by developing a simulation algorithm in Maple. Wrote a collaborative research report with fellow group members. Made weekly presentations to fellow SURIEM participants and research advisors. Individually presented research at the 2010 MathFest Undergraduate Conference in Pittsburgh.

Responsible for assisting the Dean and Associate Dean of the Engineering School with coordinating the documentation binders for an upcoming ABET accreditation visit. Reviewed all course and outcome binders for completeness and worked with faculty members to address omissions in their materials.

Primary responsibilities included assisting in the sample approval process, discrepancy reporting, and process improvement. Conducted 5S event on sample storage room by creating a system to organize, log, and track items. Performed root cause analysis on manufacturing processes producing discrepant items and reported findings to relevant engineering teams. Participated in process improvement efforts by writing protocol documents, updating internal paperwork and forms, and developing process maps to accompany process documentation. Communicated directly with suppliers to provide feedback and ensure timely and accurate product testing.

Supervised a floor of 45 residents, organized floor-wide and building-wide programs, and advised residents on academic and personal issues. Managed administrative tasks including room condition reports, incident reports, and maintenance requests. Assisted with the housing change process and enforced university and building policies. Worked within a staff of 14 resident advisors, supervised by two senior staff members. Named Resident Advisor of the Year by the Orange Chapter of National Residence Hall Honorary out of 150 resident advisors for the 2010-2011 academic year.
