Job Objectives of the LT are to: • Lead, manage and implement the curriculum and assessment requirements across the relevant subjects within the school • Develop, coach and promote best teaching and learning practices and strategies in order to ensure that students achieve the Emirati School Vision of world class learners, proficient in both Arabic and English • Stay abreast of the latest pedagogy and methodology that will improve the quality of teaching and learning in their school • Use school data to inform planning, curriculum adaptation and pedagogical approaches • Use school data to inform school-wide decisions, especially for at-risk students • Model outstanding lessons for teachers and develop programs that promote teacher growth while collaborating with other Lead Teachers to share best practice • Provide administrative and school improvement support, ensuring that the Ministry has timely access to reports on student progress, teacher training goals and school improvement data.

Context Statement Abu Dhabi Education Council’s curriculum and practices are aimed at raising students’ achievement and implementing learning experiences that contribute to a knowledge based economy. The curriculum and pedagogy are being used to promote the development of students’ bi-literacy skills in Arabic and English,their 21st century skills and their cultural and national identity. This can be achieved through the consistent use of rigorous learning outcomes and the alignment of supporting pedagogy and assessment. Abu Dhabi Education Council addresses seven key areas for its education reform: educational frameworks; staffing and support structures; students as learners; curriculum, instruction and assessment;student-centered learning environment and resources; family and community involvement; and program evaluation. Job Objective To deliver effective teaching and learning that supports the student and promotes continual improvements in academic achievement in their assigned area. - Worked as Teacher Development Specialist - Work in collaboration with the School Principal to ensure the implementation of all elements of the MAG vision at the school level collaboratively with all MAG colleagues to facilitate the implementation of MAG vision and objectives. - Serve as a resource, a support and a professional colleague for the principal as they undertake the important task of school reform. - Assist with the setting of high expectations for academic and social development, curriculum, assessment and instruction that ensures student achievement - Complete and provide regular and detailed reports - Model and support a learner-centered classroom environment that supports the needs of learners - Create and ensure assessments are delivered according to MAG guidelines and assessment structure and analyzed in context of planning for instruction - Collaborate with colleagues in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of curriculum materials and learning experiences - Research and locate innovative practices and resources - Assist in evaluating and developing behavior management strategies - Lead weekly collaborative planning meetings and coordinate planning efforts. - Keep accurate on-going records of student performance and achievement to monitor student progress and make decisions about student instructional needs. - Conduct the supervision and appraisal of teachers in collaboration with the principals - Discuss student progress with principal,teachers and parents throughout the year - Maintain a high degree of cultural understanding and sensitivity - Demonstrate the importance of open and respectful communication with all parties involved in the student’s education - Engage in proactive problem-solving at whole school level
