About

With over 29 years of experience in education across South Africa, Botswana, and the United Arab Emirates, I am a dedicated and globally minded professional committed to fostering inclusive, high-impact learning environments. My teaching philosophy centers on empowering students to become independent, critically engaged learners who confidently apply their knowledge to real-world challenges. I currently serve as a Lead Teacher, mentoring educators, leading instructional planning, and driving whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with national reform goals. Previously, I worked as a Teacher Development Specialist in the Madares Al Ghad (MAG) program, where I promoted excellence in curriculum delivery, data-informed decision-making, and professional development. Specializing in supporting English Language Learners, I differentiate instruction to ensure equitable access to rigorous academic content. I also have extensive experience teaching English and History at the IGCSE level, primarily to students aged 15–17. Passionate about educational technology and AI integration, I utilize flipped classroom models and digital tools to personalize learning while maintaining a strong focus on higher-order thinking and student agency. I also contribute to educational research on leadership, digital equity, and sustainable innovation in public schools. I believe that while students ultimately own their learning, it is the educator’s role to inspire curiosity, model lifelong learning, and create conditions where every learner can thrive.
