Nader Abudaqqa

Nader is an Electrical Design Engineer with a bachelor degree from university of Jordan. He commenced his career in Electrical Engineering in 2006. He moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2006 to a booming construction industry to experience the challenges of UAE’s demanding market. Over the past few years he has completed few iconic and diverse projects in the UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in Qatar. Nader’s skill set broadens to all aspects of electrical engineering such as: electrical infrastructure, medium voltage, low voltage, lighting, fire and life safetey and ELV systems. He has successfully designed and supervised projects in range of upto billion dollar capital cost. Over the past few years, his prime focus has been on the design and delivery of theme parks in the Middle East. He presently leads the electrical design support role on site for the construction and delivery phase of the Motiongate Theme Park in the much famed Dubai Parks and Resorts. Due to the fast tracked nature of the project, Nader was required to work closely with the site contractors, theme park operators and ride vendors to modify and redesign elements of the design and theming to meet the construction program. This also involved close liaison with the supply authority throughout the construction phase to final approval. Prior to Motiongate, Nader also provided the lead electrical role in the design and delivery of the entire electrical and communications systems for the Bollywood Theme Park indlcuing infrastructure works. Nader provided a client interface role engaging with various stakeholders based in Dubai and LA including the architect, show consultants, ride vendors, theme park operators and the construction team. The delivery included a 50,000sqm building comprising number of rides, 15 other buildings encompassing rides and retail areas, and the area development space for the theme park.
