Nada Amer
Postdoctoral Research Scientist @ Proteinea
About
I am a scientist working at the interface of antibody engineering, Fc biology, and translational immunology, with hands-on experience in designing, executing, and interpreting in-vitro assays that directly inform therapeutic decision-making. My work focuses on Fc-mediated mechanisms and antibody developability, including Fcγ receptor and FcRn interactions, polyreactivity and specificity risk assessment, and stability and QC profiling. I have led and optimized multiple ELISA- and BLI-based workflows, performed comparative variant evaluation, and translated complex datasets into clear go/no-go recommendations. I bring strong experience in end-to-end experimental ownership, from assay development and optimization (96- and 384-well formats) to data analysis, documentation, and cross-functional communication. I regularly collaborate with CROs, manage sample logistics and QC review, and ensure alignment between experimental design, timelines, and project objectives. In parallel, my academic research background centers on autophagy, protein quality control, and stress-response pathways in cancer biology, with a particular focus on LC3A-mediated autophagy and aggresome dynamics. This dual exposure to mechanistic biology and translational antibody development allows me to approach experimental problems with both depth and pragmatism.

My academic research background centers on autophagy, protein quality control, and cellular stress-response pathways in cancer biology, with a particular focus on LC3A-mediated autophagy, aggresome formation, and unfolded protein response signaling. I have established and characterized in-vitro cell line models, and applied a broad range of cellular and molecular biology techniques, including live-cell and confocal microscopy, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry, and proteomics-based analyses, to interrogate protein aggregation, degradation pathways, and cell-stress adaptations.
