As a Merchandising Asst / Category Buyer we do, Monitors and assures availability of products. Completing all the tasks assigned by the Merchandise Manager. Assists in implementing floor moves, merchandise and display maintenance plan-o-grams. Negotiating promotions, other income and planning activities monthly. Manages inventory and distribution, proposes promotions and markdowns as necessary to move merchandise quickly and efficiently; Prepares and evaluates sales reports, margins and budgets of stores and suppliers. Checks competitors sales activities. Keeps abreast of changes affecting both the supply of, and demand for, needed products. Sourcing out potential suppliers. Makes projections on seasonal and top saleable items. Manages vendor contracts and regular reviews on cost to sales Maintains positive trade relations and develop strategic alliances with suppliers. Develops category plans to achieve targeted sales and profit budget. Develops communication for new products, promotions and updates.
