•Lead the coordination with Transmission System Operator (TSO) and manage the processes for connection with National Grid (NG) •Manage design approvals with NG related to 380kV System Interface and organize commissioning of Interface equipment •Coordinate with TSO stakeholders for design approvals and commissioning of Telecommunication, Substation Automation, Protection System and Grid Compliance test(s). •Liaison with NG to obtain grid connection approval for energization of IPP substation and PV Plant •Develop project commissioning plan and processes to manage HV Substation and PV Plant commissioning •Develop scope for site commissioning of Substation and PV Plant equipment in line with PPA requirements •Review and finalization of Commissioning test procedures, SAT report formats •Finalization of test acceptance criteria(s) in line with PPA and IEC •Review of commissioning schedules and ensure mobilization of the required resources. •Conducting Daily/ Weekly meetings to review the commissioning progress, identify progress constraints, assign priorities and mitigation actions. •Resolution on various conflicts between design and commissioning SOP- Schemes, Electrical interlocks, test methods etc. •Witness site testing to ensure the commissioning tests are performed as per approved procedures. •Identify equipment failures during commissioning and coordination with EPC for mitigation actions including replacement of components, modifications work and / or extended warranties. •Coordination and review meetings with EPC, Sub-contractors and OEM (like SAS, PV SCADA, Trackers, ARCS, SMB etc). •Development of LOTO procedures in coordination with HSE Team. •Participate in Management Safety Walkthrough to identify hazards and risks during construction and commissioning activities.

Lead a large team of ~ 100 staff including 15 direct reportee, consisting of tendering team, project managers and project control engineers. Responsible for compiling Technical and Commercial proposals for Power T&D Projects, Power Plants. Review of detailed cost estimations, devising tender strategies. Formation of project team, assigning roles to various team members and holding project kick-off/ progress meetings. Project monitoring and controlling, organizing resources, and suggesting solutions to project constraints on day to day basis. Finalization of major equipment purchase orders- detailed technical and scope evaluations, commercial and delivery negotiations. Front ending design and engineering activities for timely manufacturing clearances to ensure in time equipment deliveries. Implementation of daily and weekly progress reviews within team for smoother monitoring of projects.

Executed various HV & EHV T&D Substation projects as project manager from award till commissioning and handover, while maintaining highest standards of Quality & HSE. Most of the projects were completed within contractual completion dates and closed at profit margins higher than original estimates.

•Responsible for overall project planning of the 132/33kV Muscat Steel Grid Station including 132kV Cabling. •Preparation of Look Ahead Programs to meet project requirements •Oversee the project performance with regards to time, cost, HSE and ensure timely delivery of project •Coordination with suppliers and contractors for design and Manufacturing related activities. •Coordinate with client, consultant and statutory authorities on clearances/approvals/permissions and materials in order to meet the project timelines. •Participate in contract negotiations with project stakeholders. •Assist, review and coordinate the creation, submission and clearance of invoices and monitor the budget and project cash flows. •Coordinate design, installation and commissioning of the substation with safety, to ensure timely delivery of the project and in-compliance with specifications •Replacement of 135MVA, 14/138.6kV GT on emergency basis at Rusail Power Plant (Following failure of existing GT. New GT was taken back in service within 25-days after dismantling existing, installation of new Transformer and commissioning works)
