Main Responsibilities: • Led and successfully closed multiple M&A transactions ($0.7m – $400m) while providing expert technical accounting guidance, demonstrating a results-driven approach and proficiency in working with both IFRS and US GAAP environments. • Conducted thorough financial due diligence for multiple M&A transactions (5+transactions), providing critical insights to support informed decision-making and successful deal closures. • Led the successful carve-out of Careem Super App business with Etisalat (c.$400m), providing valuable support in drafting and reviewing definitive documents including robust cost allocation methodologies. • Formalized Technical Memos, ensuring seamless alignment with Auditors and Uber, and spearheaded successful implementation within Careem. • Led IFRS 5 / ASC 205 - Held for Sale accounting for US SEC Reporting for Uber quarterly filings. • Delivered expert Technical Accounting guidance on IFRS 2, IFRS 9, IFRS 15, and IFRS 16 to key teams, ensuring meticulous compliance with IFRS and relevant GAAP in Careem's reporting processes. • Stay updated with the latest IFRS/US GAAP pronouncements, enabling the timely adaptation of Careem's accounting policies and financial statement templates to comply with new adoption and reporting requirements. • Facilitated pre-alignment of Accounting Memos with key stakeholders, including Uber and Auditors, prior to implementation within Careem, ensuring seamless coordination and adherence to industry standard. • Conduct comprehensive reviews of both consolidated and standalone financial statements for Group entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting standards. • Implemented IAS 29 for Lebanon financial statements, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and accurate reporting of financial data. • Provided coaching and guidance to team members, fostering professional development and enhancing their skills.
