As a technologist and founder, I am dedicated to developing EmenTech (https://ementech.co.ke), a company focused on delivering practical and scalable software solutions for Africa. My expertise is rooted in a blend of formal technical education, industry certifications, and a commitment to continuous self-directed learning. I view learning as an ongoing endeavor, ensuring I remain at the forefront of modern software engineering, system design, infrastructure, automation, and emerging AI technologies. I possess extensive hands-on experience in full-stack development and backend systems, including building APIs, databases, authentication and role-based access systems, admin dashboards, and automation workflows. My experience in deploying and maintaining real-world applications on cloud infrastructure has provided me with valuable insights into reliability, security, and operational trade-offs. Through various projects, such as https://ementech.co.ke, https://dumuwaks.ementech.co.ke (a technician-service concept), and https://baitech.co.ke (an e-commerce experiment), I have gained a deep understanding of the journey from code to user engagement. While not every project scaled as anticipated, each one enhanced my comprehension of user needs, architectural decisions, and the role of technology in achieving tangible business outcomes. I am particularly interested in the responsible application of emerging technologies, including AI-assisted systems, data-driven tools, and messaging-first platforms like WhatsApp, especially within mobile-first, bandwidth-constrained environments and local payment ecosystems such as M-Pesa. At this stage, I am focused on building strong foundations. EmenTech is in its early stages, with a clear and evolving focus. As Founder & CTO, I steer the technical direction with an emphasis on clarity, maintainability, and long-term value.
