1. Finance  Undertake the accounts of the Company through to completion of annual accounts for audit and preparation of the Annual Report.  Prepare trial balances, audit trails and other reports and assist the external Accountant by providing required information.  Ensure the accuracy and efficiency in the maintenance of accounting and other records of the Company.  Ensure that accounting timetables and schedules are met.  Monitor cash flow of the Company and ensure that cash requirements of the Company are met.  Undertake forensic accounting tasks including calculations of margins, gain/loss of profit in sales initiatives and viability of business activities, as required. 2. Reporting  Produce the annual accounts in according with Australian Accounting Standards balance sheet and financial management reports each month -Cumulative financial accounts -Gross margin by product category -Inventory value by category -Actual vs budget monthly and YTD reports. 3. Taxation and Compliance  Ensure the Company complies with the requirements of the ATO and associated with ITR, FBT, GST, Staff Superannuation etc.  Prepare and manage tax reporting and compliance for payroll tax, BAS etc. 4. Accounting Perform the accounting and finance functions of the Company which will include - Managing the Company’s cash flow. - Preparing monthly P/L reports, - Payment of Overseas creditors and managing the Trade Finance Facility. - Oversee and control the Accounts Payable function for local creditors - Oversee and control the Accounts Receivable function - Maintain the budget and manage the Company’s cash flow - Monitor costs of staff and suppliers and investigate cost reduction strategies - Maintain and build corporate relations with suppliers particularly key of essential services such as shipping agents, transport companies, providers of utilities and all other services upon which the business’ activities are contingent on.
