I'm currently working with Nesma & Partners as a Procurement & Contracts Engineer at the head office in Al Khobar. • Reviewing, assessing, and validating all documents in the request for subcontract, including responsibility matrix, scope of work, bill of quantity, specifications, drawings, and all the other attachments. • Preparing the list of potential bidders, issuing and sending the request for quotation emails to the interested subcontractors. • Receiving the offers and preparing the general bid and conducting techno-commercial evaluations of all bidders. • Preparing the target price depending on cherry-picking, reference pricing, engineering analysis, and budget. • Negotiating the prices with the subcontractors based on the target price and finalizing the commercial terms. • Receiving the final offers, and preparing & shortlisting the bidders in the final bid tab. • Issuing letters of intent and managed drafting, issuance, and tracking of subcontract agreements. • Conducting legal negotiations to ensure clarity, compliance, and mutual acceptance of subcontractor agreements. • Uploading the signed agreements with supporting documents to close the requests in the system. • Drafting, issuing, and tracking the amendment for changing in scope, quantity, unit rates, or project completion date. • Developed scopes of work and Bills of Quantity for multiple framework agreements to establish fixed unit prices for service providers across all regions in Saudi Arabia for long-term contracts.

I was working with MARCO as a junior electrical engineer at SAAC Project | Medical college at Al Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU). • Reviewing some electrical drawings, such as transformer control panels, alarm control panels, and UPS drawings. • Supervision in installing and testing the wall lights, ceiling lights, and the floor lights in the building. • Supervision in installing the electrical part of the fire system, such as the motion sensor, heat sensor, and smoke detector. • Examining and testing every installed motion sensor that’s connected to the light in the building. • Supervising in the electrical rooms works, such as fixing, wiring, and pulling power cables for the transform control panels, alarm control panels, and the Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), installing the cable trays, transformer cable stands, and the transformer fan and sensors stands.

One of the most important part to become a successful engineer is the training. I have trained in the Saudi Irrigation Organization because it is a place that can cover many electric engineer fields, such as automation, power electronics, and communications. In the SIO, they have a lot of transformers and back up generators which needs to be checked and monitored as an electrical engineer. In addition, there is also a SCADA system which is used to control the pumps remotely. Finally, There is a full section of communication to communicate one zone to the other zones. I'm very glad that I trained at the Saudi Irrigation Organization. • Reviewing the electrical drawings. • Examining and testing the backup generators in monthly basis to reduce the percentage of getting failed starts when the main power source is out of service. • Controlling and monitoring the Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), pumps, water pipelines, and opening and closing valves using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software. • Supervising on the maintenance and repairs works on the existing electrical products and systems.
