As a Materials Specialist, I am involved in identifying & developing potential vendors locally & globally for the right - source selection; achieving cost effective purchases. My day to day responsibilities include planning, organizing and controlling all requisite activities to perform such as sourcing, techno - commercial evaluation, recommendation, contracting, inspection, expediting & tracking, reporting, logistics & delivery, payment processing, assessing the performance of the vendors based on various criterion's such as percentage for rejections, quality improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms, overseeing follow-up with vendors for deliverable's, and quality checks; ensuring timely payments, handling stores management including day-to-day activities like receipts, storage, issues and disposition and ensuring quality and budget objectives are met as per organizational guidelines. Throughout my career span, I am involved in managing warehouse operations ensuring optimum inventory levels to achieve maximum cost savings without hampering the operations, supervising & mentoring teams for CMMS/ERP Maintenance and Materials data preparation and Performing Data Analysis for gap identification in the system, creating as well as reviewing Spare Parts Interchange Ability Record using e-SPIR, actively participated in safety and control activities related to storage/handling of materials. Some of my noteworthy milestones include: # Playing a vital role as the Primary Contact Point for TPSP by phone, e-mail and in person to maintain effective business relationship # Facilitating regulatory requirements viz. Trade & Transport Regulations and Customs Requirements # Foster inventory control projects with the coordination of Warehouse, Procurement & Maintenance Team with specialization in SAP Modules i.e. MM, PM, Work Order, Maintenance Plan, Task List and Catalogue Profile Creation
