About
Applying the power of data, computing and AI to digitally transform our lives for a better and sustainable planet is my passion. This has lead to Co-founding Visenti in Singapore, a pioneer start-up providing data driven solutions to solve water loss and operational efficiency challenges faced by the water sector. I led the development of Smart Water platforms both internally and their adoption at some of the world’s leading water utilities. At Visenti, I headed the product development, Cloud Infrastructure and AI/Data Science teams, while working with domain experts, providing product strategy and design directions. I also lead the development of strategic reseller and supplier relationships in Oceania, South East Asia and Middle East markets as part of Visenti’s go-to market strategy. After Visenti’s acquisition by Xylem Inc. (XYL), a $13Bn market cap gobal player in water technologies, I continued to support the integration and commercial excellence of Visenti’s portfolio at Xylem while leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure customer success. Prior to Visenti, I started my post doctoral research career at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore - as a Senior Research Fellow, as part of the nation-wide weather monitoring collboartive program. Thereafter, I joined the MIT's Center for Environmental Sensing and Modeling at Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) center, developing techniques in machine learning to address water network resilence. An MIT young innovators TR35, i received PhD in Computer Science from Monash University, Australia in 2008, with majors in wireless remote sensing. I happen to hold multiple patents in the areas of large-scale climate monitoring, virtualisation in sensor networks, large-scale and remote sensing and Cloud computing.
