Mike Becker

I produce and direct Temple’s award-winning live sports show where I work in collaboration with a 20-person team. My co-producer and I are responsible for approving video packages, programming and staffing shows, and managing the team. Previously, I served as a live on-location camera operator and video playback operator for the show.

I write articles about the Philadelphia Phillies including game recaps, player features, and previews.

Trusted by artists to sell their merchandise at music venues around the Philadelphia area, including Taylor Swift, Pink, and The Gaslight Anthem.

As part of the merchandise team at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, I collaborate with my teammates to keep track of artist/event inventory, create visually appealing displays, and provide an overall exceptional merch buying experience for guests

As a member of the bar staff at the Theatre of Living Arts on historic South Street Philadelphia, I split my time between serving drinks responsibly to 1,000-person crowds and making sure my coworkers have all of the supplies that they need to be successful. This requires good communication, time management, adaptability, and multitasking on my part to help keep three bars running efficiently.

During the spring 2021 semester, I taught US history with 8th grade students at CCA Baldi Middle School in a fully online capacity. In spring of 2022, I taught 8th grade US history along with 7th grade physics in-person at Adaire Elementary School. At both schools, I was responsible for developing and presenting level-appropriate, learner-focused unit plans with guidance from my host teacher, utilizing educational technology to build engaging and relevant lessons that met state and district standards. I cultivated an inclusive and safe classroom environment through utilization of classroom management skills and skillful communication with students.
