Back in 1972, the establishment of a new Provincial Pension Fund for the Anglican clergy was a trail blazing innovation. Today the Board, now known as Anglican Financial Care, has developed into a multi-faceted and professional organisation that provides a multitude of financial services to the Anglican Church and other Christian denominations, including the administration of three separate retirement savings schemes (Pension Fund, The Retire Fund and Christian KiwiSaver Scheme). The original Pension Fund of $3m has now grown to such an extent that overall funds under management (including for the other funds) exceed $290m in value. Anglican Financial Care is the trading name of The New Zealand Anglican Church Pension Board. The Board is the Trustee, the Manager, Administrator and Investment Manager of the schemes.

Auckland City Mission Housing Ltd (ACMHL) - Our dedicated tenancy team walks alongside whānau to help them find and settle into their homes, offering practical and genuine care along the way. We work closely with the Mission’s Housing Support Team, providing ongoing connections, guidance, and manaakitanga to ensure residents are supported in living well and flourishing. ACMHL manages homes in a growing number of locations across Auckland, including 140 apartments in two buildings in central Auckland.

The Investment Manager Endowments role works closely with executive leadership across Ngāi Tahu Holdings, Business Units and Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu bringing broad and established networks with mana whenua and looks to enhance strategic relationships to originate, execute and manage investment opportunities that leverage Ngāi Tahu endowments and ultimately deliver value to Ngāi Tahu whānui. Ngāi Tahu Holdings is the wholly-owned investment company of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu. Through the management of capital investment and operating a portfolio of commercial entities including Tourism business oversight, Seafood, Property, Farming, Forestry, and Investments we have the collective responsibility to protect and grow the Ngāi Tahu tribal pūtea and Settlement assets for future generations “Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei” (for us and our children after us). Working closely in strategic partnership relationships is at the core of the role of Investment Manager Endowments. For example, Crown agencies, local or regional councils, other iwi investment companies, and domestic investment companies.

The purpose of 'Toitū Tahua: Centre for Sustainable Finance' is to implement the Sustainable Finance Forum’s 2030 Roadmap for Action. The Sustainable Finance Forum (SFF) was formed in January 2019 in recognition of the critical role finance plays in achieving and accelerating the transition to a sustainable economy. The SFF included representatives from banks, insurance companies, industry, Māori businesses and Iwi, professional services, civil society, academia, and Government. Toitū Tahua implementation groups aim to accelerate the progress of the 11 recommendations outlined in the SFF Roadmap for Action. Commitment to environmental stewardship and ESG strategies is core to this role.

Mindful Money is an independent charity that aims to make money a force for good. Since its establishment in 2019, Mindful Money has been providing transparency for Kiwis on holdings in their KiwiSaver and other managed fund investments, support for fund managers to deepen their involvement in ethical investment, and analysis for the financial services industry. Mindful Money are specialists in ethical and impact investments and are passionate about promoting finance to support the climate transition and a better world for all. We know from the annual surveys that many New Zealanders want to invest ethically but don't have the objective information and research to compare the options. Mindful Money aims to empower all New Zealanders to be responsible in how they invest their savings. I sit on the Investment Committee for Mindful Money.

Kura Tāwhiti Canterbury Community Foundation is focused on delivering enduring, transformative change through growing and supporting smart, informed philanthropy. It is a Community Foundation for Christchurch City and the Selwyn and Waimakariri Districts. This role requires regular engagement with the Christchurch City Council and supporting the operations team's engagement with local government. The Christchurch Foundation has given away over $15m since 2017 to causes that make an impact and matter to our local community. I sit on the KTCCF Audit and Risk Committee.

Te Pūtea Whakamauru Para, the Waste Minimisation Fund (WMF) is focused on accelerating Aotearoa New Zealand’s transition towards a low-emissions and low-waste circular economy. The fund requires expertise in waste management, landfill and waste-to-energy sectors. The focus is on initiatives that make the greatest impact. This is reflected in an increase in the minimum grant size. Members of the Independent Waste Investment Panel support the operation of the Waste Minimisation Fund (WMF). The Waste Funds' assessment process allows the Ministry of Environment to refer funding applications of significant size ($1m+) to an independent external Panel for funding recommendations. This Panel is for a three-year term and may be extended for one or more additional terms by the Ministry. Panel members need to be familiar with regulatory frameworks in the waste sector and local government decision-making, which can inform partnership models to be adopted in a funding approach.

Massey Fin-Ed Centre is New Zealand’s leading research centre on the financial capability and wellbeing of New Zealanders and an Affiliate Member of the OECD International Network of Financial Education – the only member from a New Zealand education institution. Established in 2011, the Fin-Ed Centre was a joint initiative between the Westpac New Zealand Bank and Massey University. The centre now operates under the sole management of Massey University and is recognised internationally for its work in financial education and research.

The First Nations’ Futures Programme (FNFP) is an international alliance between Ngāi Tahu, the Kamehameha Schools in Hawai'i and Stanford University. Further participating institutions are Sea Alaska, the Ngāi Tahu Research Centre at the University of Canterbury and the University of Otago. The programme has a strong theoretical basis with an emphasis on indigenous economies, science and environmental management. The course is designed to take our best scholars who have a record of community participation and expose them to new development theories they may choose to implement within their communities and whānau.
