Manager Operations (3.1a Appointee): Responsible for the Control, Direction & Management of all Day-to-Day Operations relating to MHSA & Regulations for Mining, Engineering & Plant Operations.

As the MRM Manager and Head of Department, I am responsible for the Technical support of all Mining Operations, Legal, Environmental, Geotechnical, Rock Engineering and Survey functions. By leading specialists from the Resident Geologist, Survey Manager, Rock Engineer and Senior Mining Engineer. The following duties and functions are required to fulfill the role: *Business Plan formulations and scenario planning, *Resource and Reserve Optimization, Reporting and Management through well coordinated exploitation methodologies, *Consistent Technical support to all Operations activities, i.e. Mining, Plant and Engineering. *Consistent Technical support relating to Mine Health and Safety Act, Mining Charter (MPRDA), National Water Act, Minerals & Petroleum Development Act, Land Management and SAMREC Code/SANS 10320:2020 or other regulatory requirements. *Technical support to the Business Unit manager relating to long term planning and Budgets pertaining to Early Value Exxaro & Market to Resource Strategies within Life of Mine, *Rehabilitation planning, execution and reporting. *Business Optimization through managing Business Improvement, Innovation, Data Engineering & Science specialists.

As the Production Manager and Mining Superintendent for Opencast Operations at Exxaro Resources, Leeuwpan, I hold a pivotal role in the mining industry. This position involves multifaceted responsibilities that ensure safety, operational efficiency, and production excellence. Key aspects of my role include: • Health and Safety Oversight: Appointed as per the Mine Health and Safety Act, Mineral Regulation 2.6.1. • Operational Leadership: Hold the role of Opencast Mining Superintendent and Section Manager, with responsibility for overall operational leadership. • Contractor Management: Manage two Overburden Contractors and oversee operations of one Exxaro Fleet. • Fleet and Equipment Supervision: Supervise a diverse fleet, including 100-ton Rigid Dump Trucks (RDTs) and 45-ton Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs), along with shovels (Ex1250 equivalent). • Supporting Activities: Oversee supporting activities like drilling (DM30 equivalent at 176mm Diameter) and blasting (using various methods, including Pyrotechnics and Electronic Blasting). • Production Targets: Accountable for stripping 5,000,000 cubic meters of overburden per month, with involvement of Ritluka, Lomeza, and Hired Fleet. • Annual Production: Responsible for achieving an annual production target of 4.2 million tons, catering to Export, Domestic, and Powerstation clients with varying requirements. • Rehabilitation Responsibilities: Oversee Rehabilitation Activities and strategic planning to reduce long-term environmental liabilities. • Resource Coordination: Coordinate resource and reserve optimization, considering all relevant modifying factors. • Life of Mine Planning: Extend the Life of Mine through effective planning and execution. • Operations Optimization: Implement high-level planning for both ramping up and down in Opencast Operations, ensuring maximum coal extraction, especially in the later stages of mine life.

I served as the Section Manager for Opencast Operations at Anglo American's Isibonelo mine, where my role encompassed diverse leadership responsibilities within the mining sector. This position required comprehensive knowledge of mine safety regulations, efficient operations, and the strategic management of resources to optimize coal production and sustainability. • Mine Health and Safety Compliance: Appointed under the Mine Health and Safety Act and designated as a Mineral Regulation 2.6.1 Appointee. • Operational Leadership: Held the dual role of Opencast Mining Superintendent and Section Manager, providing leadership across operations. • General and Consolidated Leadership: Acted as the General and Consolidated Opencast Leader, overseeing various aspects of the Opencast operations. • Fleet and Equipment Management: Managed a fleet consisting of two Marion Draglines, Fleet EH3500 Trucks, 100-ton Rigid Dump Trucks (RDTs), and four Garden Denver Drills. • Overburden Stripping Oversight: Directed the Overburden stripping activities, with each Dragline handling 2,000,000 cubic meters per month. • Production Achievement: Successfully achieved an annual production target of 5.2 million saleable tons. • Rehabilitation Activities: Oversaw Rehabilitation Activities, ensuring responsible land reclamation and environmental sustainability. • Client Coal Supply Management: Managed the overall coal exposure, production, and supply to Sasol, one of the primary clients of the Opencast operations. • Excavation Planning: Developed and executed weekly and monthly Opencast operational Excavation Plans, adhering to Optimization guidelines and limits. • Ramping Up and Down Execution: Executed high-level plans for ramping up and down in Opencast Operations, strategically maximizing coal extraction as the Life of Mine approached depletion. • Resource Optimization: Coordinated resource and reserve optimization.

As the Section Manager Underground Operations at Seriti Resources, I played a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of underground mining activities. My responsibilities included overseeing the daily operations of a specific section of the underground mine, managing a team of skilled miners, and coordinating with other departments to achieve production targets. • Safety and Compliance: Mine Health and Safety Act, Mineral Reg. 2.6.1 Appointee. Implemented and enforced strict safety protocols and ensured compliance with all regulatory requirements.
