Responsible for medical coding, insurance claim submission, claim followup, and accounts receivable. Brought company from 5mil in accounts receivable to $500k in less than 1 year.

• Review medical documentation and follow coding guidelines to select the correct CPT and ICD10 code for the service provided by the physician. • Stay up-to-date with medical coverage determinations. • Ensure claim accuracy before submission to insurance companies. • Industrial Health invoicing. • Assist with new employee training (i.e. central billing office and front office registration staff) and all other functions as requested by Director.

• Responsible for Accounts Receivable functions for 8 providers. • Responsible for filing claims for two Rural Health Clinics in Kentucky. • Experience with credentialing through CAQH. • Manage the Kentucky Medicaid website for approximately 80 providers. • Assist with other job duties such as assisting with monthly Post Close Review of Accounts Receivable; Assist with new employee training (i.e. central billing office and front office registration staff) and all other functions as requested by Director.

• Responsible for managing the front desk of a 3-physician practice seeing approximately 90 patients per day. • Responsible for answering phone calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments • Responsible for all Patient Assistance Program applications for the office and worked one-on-one with patients who could not afford their medications to get their prescriptions for a discounted rate, or for free. • Worked closely with the office manager to establish an efficient process of billing and maintaining medical charts for two separate nursing homes. • Responsible for maintaining and filing all patient medical records.
