Global Affairs Associates is a consulting firm based in Houston, Texas that helps clients make strategic, business-appropriate decisions regarding sustainability.

The University of Texas System Student Advisory Council was established in 1989 as a mechanism to gather student input and feedback on a variety of student issues. DETAILS The Student Advisory Council consists of two student representatives from each U.T. System component institution and provides input to the U. T. System Board of Regents on a variety of issues of student concern through its standing committees. PROJECTS As the elected Vice Chair of Student Success Initiatives, worked with my team throughout the 2017-18 academic year to expand access to open educational resources for students across the UT System, reduce textbook costs overall, improve retention rates through better advising practices, adapt classroom models for alternative learning styles, and implement pedagogy training programs for faculty and staff. Collaborated with UTSA libraries to promote funding and adoption of the open educational resource programs across disciplines at UTSA, and used the success of those programs to encourage adoption of similar policies across other UT-System campuses.

* As a sales associate in the women's apparel department: * Served as the primary customer service representative for the store as a whole, utilizing multi-line phone systems * Organized and maintained inventory in stock rooms and on the floor * Created display setups and presentation strategy * Managed fitting room use and maintenance

* UTSA Orientation leaders manage summer Orientation programming for 5,000+ freshmen and transfer students and their family members, ensuring they have a positive introduction to campus and know how to access and use the resources available to them. * DETAILS * Responsible for leading groups of 20-30 students, families and guests through 1-3 day programs each week * Gave educational presentations for groups of 300-600 students and family members * Guided comprehensive campus tours * Helped students connect with available resources and register for classes

Worked with a team of accounts and finance professionals to complete daily income and expenditure audits, plan events, handle client relations, and manage both short and long-term residential client needs.

* Green Steps Ltd. is a Shanghai-based startup taking environmental education, awareness and sustainable activism from the city to the suburbs. * In my role as Operations Intern, achieved the following: * Standardization of major event processes to scale programs * Creation of comprehensive onboarding curriculum and management of new staff training * Managed ongoing removal of construction waste on local waterfronts * Facilitation of client events located in ocean and forest wetlands
