Auditor in charge of statutory audits of Deloitte & Touche out of the Dubai office. I was involved in planning the audit, including risk assessment of the client. This involves financial analysis and assessment of inherent and control risks associated with the client. I was involved in the continiuos coaching of junior engagement team members and support the audit manager and partner. I was involved in the review of financial reports and statements prepared by clients, including multi-currency consolidation and industry specific reporting. At the end of my contract I was highly rated and offered a permanent position within the Deloitte Dubai office. I declined this position as I wanted to return to South Africa.

I served a three year contract as a trainee accountant in the financial services practice of Deloitte South Africa out of the Durban office. As a trainee accountant I served as an audit assistant, senior assistant and audit senior servicing some of the premier clients in the region. I was rated as emerging talent by the audit managers and partners of the KZN practice and was involved with Impact Day (local charity initiatives). I achieved all of the competencies expected by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants by the completion of my articles. I was lead senior on all of my engagements which required the following: -Planning and reporting and various audit sections -Managing and supervising audit team -Maintaing client relations -Ensuring the overall process of the audit runs smoothly
