A selective semester program of 45 highly motivated high school students from all over the country that challenges them to think flexibly, speak their minds, and return to their schools equipped for continued academic success. In addition to taking classes, students work and live on an organic farm based in rural Vermont.

Sailed on a 138ft tall ship throughout the South Pacific from America Samoa to Samoa, Wallis, Futuna, Fiji, and New Zealand to study humanity's relationship with the oceans. Students sampled and examined the water column through the use of oceanagraphic equipment and interviewed the people on the islands. My independent research focused on traditional Samoan medicine as well as the health of the coral reefs surrounding Wallis and Futuna.
