My responsibilities at Bronx Letters involved planning and executing an inquiry-based science course for 7th graders. In addition, I served as an advisor for a group of 12-15 students; this involved tracking their progress, mentoring them through challenging situations, and creating an advisory curriculum focused towards community-building and conflict-resolution among my advisees.

Uncommon Schools starts and manages high-performing urban charter public schools that close the achievement gap and prepare low-income students to enter, succeed in, and graduate from college. Uncommon Schools is a network of 44 public charter schools across Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York. All of our schools are managed by a Home Office, based in New York City, and regional teams. We provide wide-ranging support including management and coaching of school leaders, professional development, staff recruitment, fundraising and more. This way, our schools in Boston, Camden, New York City, Newark, Rochester, and Troy can focus on teaching and learning.

At Wesleyan, I worked as a recruiting co-ordinator for Teach for America, and tutored students at a middle school in Middletown. I majored in Religious and African American studies.
