Scientist, Early Discovery @ Junevity

About

I'm a scientist driven by a simple belief: that the best research doesn't just advance knowledge, it changes lives. That belief was shaped early. Cancer has touched my family, and for over a decade I have volunteered with Camp Okizu, an organization dedicated to serving families affected by childhood cancer. That ongoing commitment is the reminder I carry of why the work matters, shaping the kind of scientist and colleague I strive to be every day. Over the past 8+ years, I've built a deliberately diverse career that spans GMP cell therapy manufacturing, clinical BMT workflows, spaceflight biology, and drug discovery. That range is intentional. Every environment I've worked in, from Stanford Health Care's transplant facility to NASA Ames to commercial biotech, has sharpened how I think, expanded my technical toolkit, and deepened my conviction that translational science done well can move therapies from bench to bedside in ways that genuinely matter to patients and families. Today at Junevity, I was the first employee and co-invented a novel siRNA therapeutic expected to begin Phase 1 clinical trials in Q4 of 2026. I also lead programs in siRNA drug development and 3D organoid liver modeling, designing and executing high-throughput screening workflows to identify novel therapeutics for metabolic disease. My path is something I'm proud of as a reflection of the kind of scientist I aim to be: one who builds things, not just studies them. What I bring to every team is equal parts technical depth and collaborative instinct. I've worked alongside physicians, CRCs, process development engineers, quality teams, and executive leadership. I believe science moves faster and further when people communicate openly and invest in each other's success. If you're building something in cell therapy, oncology, metabolic disease, or regenerative medicine, I'd love to connect.
