• Designed and synthesized novel cleavable linkers for glycan functionalization and glycan array construction. • Isolation and purification of glycans from natural sources with multi-dimensional HPLCs • Conjugation of DNA barcodes to antibodies; conjugation of glycans to antibodies, proteins, lipids, glass slides, microbeads, and cells. • Characterization and quantification of glycans, glycoconjugates, DNA barcode-antibody conjugates with LC-MS, MALDI, NMR, Fluorescence/UV-Vis spectrophotometry etc. advanced analytical techniques. • Enrichment and analysis of urinary glycans via cleavable linker mediated “Catch and Release”. • Developed double-click for facile and efficient conjugation of glycans to microarray surfaces, proteins, microbeads, and cells for functional glycomics. • Authored 5 papers, 4 manuscripts, and gave one invited talk, one oral presentation and 3 poster presentations.

• Chemical and enzymatic synthesis of glycans/carbohydrates, accomplished >100 glycans • Conjugation of glycans/carbohydrates to lipids, peptides, proteins, and nanoparticles. • Synthesized a library of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, and studied structure and activity relationships. • Authored 10 papers, and gave 4 poster presentations.
