As an Associate affiliated with the Center for Geographic Analysis at Harvard, I contributed to several high-impact projects under the Geographic Insights Lab’s key initiative, India Policy Insights - a collaboration with NITI Aayog. We developed policy trackers that translated NFHS data and related government policies into granular, district-level insights. My experience with the GeospatialX Lab at NUS involved mapping population density changes due to flood inundation using high-resolution satellite imagery, building a foundation in geospatial analysis and motivating deeper interest in applying spatial informatics to climate, environmental, and public health challenges. • Analysed forced population migration to seasonal and long term indundation in the Sundarbans region. • Employed the gravity model with suitable climate and topographical variables along with population density change to predict the hotspots for migration in 2030. • Used satellite imagery to model human settlement and population density change.
