Anjali Mohanty

Shifting the focus on digital innovation, transformation and the impact of banking services for the benefit of Bharat.Anjali’s career spans over three decades in the banking industry, including leadership roles with global banking institutions. She is an experienced banker, entrepreneur and impact investor.Prior to her current role, she co-founded an impact-driven Agri Fintech company in 2021, where she built and scaled the organisation as a data and technology driven company focussed on solutions to increase farm income and provide access to formal finance to small and marginal farmers in rural India.  The end to end digital solution includes underwriting using farm score as a measurement of repayment capability, farm advisory and access to quality inputs to increase output and access to direct buyers to optimise earnings.Nearly a decade at Deutsche Bank across two progressive mandates, first as Head of the Global Transaction Bank for India and subsequently as Head of Global Subsidiary Coverage for Asia Pacific, Anjali led end-to-end strategy, growth and execution. The business grew exponentially during this period, fuelled by innovative digital solutions across payments, lending , custody , treasury management,  leveraging the govt led DPI and Fintech surge across Asia. In 2019, she led the Multinational client business across 14 countries, overseeing inbound and intra-Asia flows for 2000+ client groups with a team of 100+ relationship managers.While at Deutsche Bank, she was a member of the Asia Pacific Executive Committee (Global Transaction Bank & Corporate Bank) and DB India Executive Committee.Prior to Deutsche Bank, Anjali started her career as a Management Graduate in Citibank and grew to becoming a Managing Director. She was part of the early innovation and growth years of the Retail bank where new products were being developed and launched every year.  In 2000 she moved to the Corporate bank as a core member to launch SME banking and in her last role, covered Multinational Clients which gave her understanding of clients across Asia, Europe and Americas. The powerful combination of traditional banking wisdom, combined with modern entrepreneurial drive, makes Anjali exceptionally well-suited to drive technological transformation for India's public sector banks.
