Distribution Planning
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Conducted load impact studies and system impact studies for new large load customers ( >1.5 MW) - Modeled distribution system in CymeDist - Verified loading data accuracy through SCADA to ensure available capacity - Simulated power factor, voltage drop and fault currents at substations and along distribution feeders - Sized primary conductors for 12.5 & 25 kV systems - Forecasted load growth to assess long term feasibility of proposed solutions - Conducted field visits with technicians for scoping purposes - Compiled cost estimates and lead times to evaluate potential solutions

System/Assembly Reliability Analyst
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Developed Weibull based algorithm for predicting failures and yearly maintenance costs for simulator products Developed reliability optimization algorithm to deliver optimal up-time with minimal spares Data mined asset logs to and calculated failure distribution parameters to improve the accuracy of reliability algorithm

Reliability Co-op Engineering Student
New Glasgow, Nova Scotia
For my second co-op term, I had the opportunity to explore one of my career interests, industrial automation, at Michelin. I successfully upgraded an obsolete HMI. I grouped control buttons according to function and redesigned the layout to enhance ergonomics and reassigned all control bits. I met with operators to discuss changes that would enhance their user experience. I worked with a multi disciplinary team to understand the day to day issues that the reliability team faces and offered possible solutions. I created a project plan to replace an obsolete RFID tag reader control module. I developed a cost report and ordered a set to demonstrate a working proof of concept of the system. I supported the reliability team whenever required while completing my individual projects in a timely manner.
