Mohammed Ben-Idris

I am associate professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Michigan State University (MSU). Prior to joining MSU in August 2023, I was associate professor of electrical engineering at University of Nevada, Reno. I have received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Michigan State University, East Lansing and MSc. and BSc. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Benghazi, Benghazi, Libya. I have more than six years of industry and consulting experience ranging from power plants control and operation to hardware design and installation to modeling and simulation of various aspects of power systems, and total of more than ten years of academic experience. I have conducted research in the area of power system resilience, stability, and reliability, I have over 200 publications including book chapters, technical articles and research reports and a U.S. patent. I am the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award
