Lead the development and execution of a broad-based, organisation-wide strategic sustainability program. Ensure DEWA’s sustainability initiatives enhances business performance and supports the long-term interests of the organisation. Secure and leverage Top Management level commitment and support for integrating sustainable development into core processes and decision-making. Identify and prioritize areas for institutional sustainability efforts and recommend strategies for proactively addressing relevant sustainability issues. Foster a culture of sustainability through ongoing organizational communications and education. Offer expertise and provide leadership-level support for initiatives to reduce company-wide resource consumption and waste generation. Serve as the internal leader and “go to” expert for sustainability, monitoring emerging trends, programs and issues, and communicating on sustainability topics. Facilitate internal and external communications and visibility as the company spokesperson on sustainability.

Heading the Climate Change & Sustainability Department, responsible for adopting mitigation and adaptation of climate change strategies through covering the National & International engagements, Regulation & adaptation, Emission Trading & CDM and Emissions Reduction strategies. In addition, I am Leading DEWA’s Corporate Sustainability Program, which involves embedding sustainability objectives into DEWA’s overarching strategy in order for DEWA to achieve its vision of becoming a “Sustainable World Class Utility”

Working in the Issues and Disclosures Department as a financial analyst where I am tracking new disclosures of companies and the application of corporate governance of companies.
