Managed the full bid lifecycle for major public and private sector projects (up to $1B) for key clients including PSPC, DCC, NCC, GTAA and IO. Pre-Construction, Estimating & Cost Planning • Owned complex Class D to A estimates for projects up to $1B. • Calculated detailed General Conditions (Division 1), including allowances for contingency and escalation. • Conducted multi-disciplinary quantity takeoffs (Arch, Struct, Civil, M&E). • Led Value Engineering reviews, and advised on Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) and LEED to meet client goals. Procurement & Subcontractor Management • Prepared comprehensive bid packages and detailed scopes of work for all trade divisions. • Chaired pre-tender and design-coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and specialty trades, particularly for sensitive heritage restoration projects. • Evaluated and selected trades through detailed bid leveling, participated in risk assessment and award of sub-trade contracts, and negotiated final terms in subcontractor buy-out sessions. Post-Contract, Risk & Claims Management • Managed project risks using Quantitative Risk Assessments and risk registers to inform contingency planning. • Handled post-contract duties including budget monitoring and preparing cost reconciliation reports. • Priced change orders and assisted with quantifying damages (prolongation costs, additional scopes).

Role continued following GIP's acquisition of Aecon Construction Ontario East in May 2023, with expanded responsibilities assumed through to May 2024. Estimating & Cost Modeling • Built detailed unit-price cost models for large-scale public infrastructure bids, including civil works packages for the Ottawa LRT, providing the quantitative foundation for multi-million dollar tender submissions. • Prepared Class D to Class A estimates from conceptual designs to final tender, setting target prices for civil works and utilities. • Led cost estimation across roads, utilities, subdivisions, schools, and site developments. • Conducted market research and post-bid analysis to maintain a unit price reference database, ensuring continuous improvement in estimating accuracy. Project & Site Management • Managed daily site operations for the fast-paced, 2.7M sq. ft. fit-out of a critical Amazon warehouse (YOW3), ensuring compliance with project specifications and Amazon's rigorous operational requirements. • Oversaw all quality control protocols, including testing and commissioning, coordinating directly with Amazon staff to ensure design specification alignment for successful project handover. • Implemented risk mitigation strategies on-site, identifying and addressing potential delays, quality deviations, and safety concerns to maintain project progress on an accelerated timeline.
