🎓 I graduated from ENSIAS in 2019 as a Software Engineer, driven by a strong passion for AI and its integration into real-world web applications. This passion led me to pursue a research-oriented path, focusing on machine learning and data science. In my PhD, I specialized in the design and development of ranking/filtering algorithms and models for safe, beneficial and personalized recommender systems. My research has centered on aligning these systems more closely with human preferences and values by crafting novel ML-based solutions. Our contributions and findings have been published in respected international conferences and journals in the fields of AI and Data and Information Retrieval. I have a keen interest in software engineering, algorithmic design, machine learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI. I am particularly interested in applying these techniques to solve R&D real-world decision-making problems. I'll be happy to discuss new collaborations or work opportunities :)

internship subject : Scalable KNN algorithms for real time recommenders. KNN algorithm constitute a fundamental building block for a number of data analytic applications, including recommendation systems. Unfortunately, brute- force computation of KNN becomes prohibitive in the presence of very large datasets with a large number of dimensions. This has led to the development of heuristics that approximate KNN computation. In this internship, we started from these heuristics and further improved their scalability particularly when considering dynamic datasets, characterized by the continuous introduction of new samples and features (users and items in the context of recommendation).
