Interventional Psychiatry
The Interventional Psychiatry Fellowship offers training in advanced treatments for complex psychiatric conditions through device-based therapies. Fellows gain experience with ECT, rTMS, esketamine, and DBS, focused on treatment-resistant cases. As a fellow, I worked with multidisciplinary teams to assess and treat patients with severe depression who may benefit from ECT, rTMS, or esketamine, as well as patients with treatment-refractory OCD eligible for TMS or DBS. Additionally, fellows engage in research on novel TMS, DBS, IV ketamine, focused ultrasound, and other device-based interventions. This fellowship combines clinical practice with research, providing a comprehensive foundation in interventional psychiatry.

Psychiatry Residency Program
As a psychiatry resident, I was part of a dedicated team providing exceptional care to patients with psychiatric disorders. Working alongside experienced psychiatrists, I developed strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating a range of mental illnesses, including mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. I was passionate about helping patients achieve their mental health goals and well-being. I also served as a mentor to medical students, instructing them in clinical settings and fostering their psychiatric knowledge and skills. Additionally, as part of the research track, I contributed to advancing psychiatry through innovative projects focused on measurement models and new treatments. My research experience honed my analytical skills, and I remained committed to evidence-based practice. In my role as VP Research for the McGill Psychiatry Residents’ Association, I organized events to promote research, furthering our collective understanding of mental health.
