Mohamed Kermalli

I’m building a career at the nexus of law and finance. After an Honours BA in Law, Policy & Government at Carleton, I moved into Canada’s federal pension program. I interpreted statutes and regulations to guide case decisions, built a risk matrix for pending files and oversaw an MOU with Health Canada in which I contributed to a reduction in per-case costs. These experiences sharpened my legislative analysis, evidence gathering, and stakeholder management skills under real operational pressure. To pair legal judgment with rigorous financial fluency, I’ve completed a Master of Management at the Schulich School of Business, and I’m now beginning an LLB (Graduate Entry) at the University of Birmingham. I’m targeting early-career roles that lead to practicing as a lawyer with strong financial acumen, in matters that live where black-letter law meets balance sheets, including: regulatory and investigations work, disputes with complex damages, pension/benefits and employment matters, and advisory on risk, contracts, and operations in highly regulated sectors.
